About Me

I received my undergraduate degree from Rowan University in New Jersey.  There, I earned my B.A in psychology with a  minor in Religion and Philosophy.  I received my Master's in Counseling with a specialization in Transpersonal Psychology from John F. Kennedy University in Pleasant Hill, California.

I have provided counseling to elementary school children. I have worked with children dealing with a difficult history in group homes and who were part of the foster care system. I have spent time working in group homes for children, adults, and senior citizens with developmental disabilities. I have provided couple's therapy in private practice settings, and I specialized in working with interracial relationships and the issues that may come up between them.   I have also spent time working in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center.  There I worked with clients who recently attempted suicide, were recently released from prison, or were homeless.

Each of my jobs have been vastly different. Yet, I have learned that a main similarity between everyone is that we all want to feel safe and cared about. We all want to be around someone who will genuinely listen to us and who will let us be ourselves.

“All great spirituality is about what we do with our pain.”

-Richard Rohr
